Obesity Taskforce - Asia/Pacific Satellite (IOTF)
Dr Tim Gill:
The issues of overweight and obesity and
the associated illness remain a major concern within the Asia-Pacific
region. The 2003 World Health Report 'Diet, Nutrition and the
Prevention of Chronic Disease' (Report 916) presented data which
clearly indicated the extent to whichproblems of over-nutrition had now
overtaken that of under-nutrition within the region.
